Information for visitors to the public PawPacs website.

This is the complete English privacy information for the public website. The German privacy information is also available. Productive PawPacs systems are subject to separate contractual, processing and security documentation.

1. Controller

PawPacs UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kiekebüscher Dorfstraße 25, 12529 Schönefeld, Germany
Email: info@pawpacs.de

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is operated on server infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When the website is requested, the browser sends connection data required to deliver the page. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested address or file, HTTP status, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating-system information.

The purpose is the secure, stable and error-free provision of the website and the detection and prevention of attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure operation of our public website. Recipients are Hetzner as hosting provider and authorised PawPacs personnel where necessary for operation or troubleshooting. Hetzner processes hosting data under a data processing agreement.

Server logs are retained only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security and are then deleted or overwritten by limited log rotation, unless a specific security incident or legal duty requires longer retention. Further information is available in the Hetzner privacy policy.

3. Cookies, browser storage and external content

The public website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, profiling, ad networks, social-media plugins or externally loaded fonts. Images, fonts and language files are delivered by our own web server. No content from third-party platforms is embedded and the browser does not contact a translation provider.

After closing the privacy notice, pawpacs_privacy_notice_seen=1 is stored in the current tab's sessionStorage. It prevents the notice from reappearing in that tab and is discarded when the session ends. A confirmed language choice is stored as pawpacs_language in localStorage so the site opens in that language on later visits. It remains until another language is selected or the entry is removed in the browser's site settings. Neither value is transmitted to our server or used to identify users across sessions. This storage is required to implement the visitor's requested settings and does not require consent under section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us, we process the contact details, message and necessary email metadata to answer the request. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual or pre-contractual communication; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies. Recipients may include our email and hosting providers and authorised PawPacs personnel. Requests are deleted when completed unless legal retention duties or legitimate reasons require further retention. Please do not send medical or similarly sensitive information by ordinary email.

5. Customer portal, trials and payments

Public registration, automated provisioning and online payment are not currently enabled. Pilot access is agreed individually, so the public website currently does not collect account, authentication or payment data. This notice will be updated before those functions are enabled.

6. Transfers and automated decisions

The public website does not use services that initiate a transfer of personal data outside the European Union or European Economic Area. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place. Technical connection data are necessary to deliver the website; visitors are not otherwise required to provide personal data merely to browse it.

7. Individual rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, individuals have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn for the future. The public website currently does not rely on consent-based processing.

Requests may be sent to info@pawpacs.de. Individuals may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Our competent authority is the Brandenburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Information, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany, Poststelle@LDA.Brandenburg.de, www.lda.brandenburg.de.

8. Medical information and test systems

No medical information should be sent through the public website. Until a test instance has been expressly approved for productive processing, only synthetic or effectively anonymised information may be used. Separate privacy, contractual and security rules apply to approved productive and test systems.

9. Updates

We update this information when technology, providers or the applicable legal requirements change. Last updated: 27 August 2026.
